Detailed Walk Description

  1. Starting at the Ship Inn:

    • Begin your walk at the Ship Inn, which is situated right by the water at Red Wharf Bay. Take a moment to enjoy the views across the bay before setting off.
    • Head east along the coastal path that runs alongside the bay. The path is well-trodden and follows the shoreline, offering beautiful views over the water.
  2. Following the Coastal Path:

    • As you walk along the coastal path, you'll pass through a mix of sandy and rocky sections. The path is generally easy to follow, with clear markers indicating the route.
    • The coastline here is rich in birdlife, so keep an eye out for wading birds and other wildlife that inhabit the bay.
  3. Approaching Traeth Coch:

    • Continue along the path as it curves around the bay towards Traeth Coch (Red Beach). This area is known for its expansive sands, especially at low tide, creating a stunning landscape.
